Steve Woodford, Managing Director of Haslams Estate Agents, has worked in the property industry for the last four decades and runs Reading’s best known and largest estate agency and lettings group Haslams. He is known for his in-depth knowledge of the Reading marketplace and regularly publishes research into transactional activity, trends and market data.

Steve will be sharing insights into Reading’s apartment market and the rise (both vertically and financially) of its stock, discussing what makes Reading’s marketplace so strong and what the next few years hold in store for it.

With over two decades experience working across a broad range of industries and media, Stephen began his career in PR working as a publicist in the music industry after which he held roles for organisations including The O2 and the BBC before joining Altitude Angel in early 2019. Since joining the business, he has raised Altitude Angel’s profile across the globe.

Stephen will be providing an update on advancements in the Drone Industry and Altitude Angels’ progress with Reading’s drone superhighway. He will talk about the wider drone industry and how this will begin to influence real estate, planning etc.

Shinfield Studios is one of the largest studio complexes in the UK with 18 purpose-built stages, workshops and offices along with a post-production complex. Ian Johnson, Joint Managing Director, will share the story of the studios from concept to reality. A chartered accountant by qualification, Ian has held C-Suite roles across various sectors including retail, leisure and manufacturing but for the last seven years has worked in the film industry having joined Shinfield Studios three and a half years ago.

Emma Gee is the Interim Executive Director of Economic Growth and Neighbourhood Services (DEGNS). Emma is the Lead for all services within the directorate which include:

  • Environmental and Commercial Services

Emma is an experienced regeneration leader and qualified Town Planner with 20 years experience of working in the built environment and economic growth profession. Emma has had responsibility for a programme of major town centre regeneration schemes, which vary from enabling to direct delivery. Emma is passionate, informed and capable of affecting change in public sector thinking, process and delivery as well as influencing and harnessing private sector insight and investment. She has a strong background in regeneration, economic development and town centres and experience of planning and delivery of major schemes as well as large scale urban expansions.
